Today is my picture book's one-year anniversary! The Memory Jar was released into the world on April 11, 2023.
I want to thank everyone who supported me, bought my book, read my story and left reviews. I appreciate all my readers. Many told me how much my story meant to them and to their families. Their kind words touched my heart.
If you haven't read The Memory Jar yet, I hope you will. The story is about a young girl and her grandmother who has dementia. Although it's sad, it's also filled with joy and love, and the ending is happy and hopeful. The illustrator, Victoria Marble, did an amazing job. She had the difficult task of drawing three generations of a family in different stages of their lives. Her images are what brought my story to life.
The anniversary of my book is also the one-year anniversary of my newsletter.
